Hey beauties! Sunday Funday for my family this weekend consisted of a day trip to Historic Smithville. Historic Smithville is in South Jersey, very close to Atlantic City. I have wanted to go there with my family for years, ever since my cousin Amy told me about it. My mom even went their with her girlfriends years ago on the way back from an AC trip. Finally we decided that yesterday was the day.
The very first thing we did when we got there was the paddle boats, which I knew about from when my mother went & she did it with her girlfriends. It was a lot fun (I did get a little nauseous) but overall everyone like it & it was really beautiful to be out on the water enjoying the views of Historic Smithville.
After the paddle boats, we walked around, went in a lot of the adorable shops, got the girls a snack, rode the carousel & took in all of the sites.
Delicious ribbon fries (more like a cross between chips & fries).
This was a really fun boat game where the girls got to steer their boats that were in the water.
A shooting game that I was terrible at, literally a score of 0.
Another fun driving game, but this one was cars the girls got to drive around a track.
This carousel was even more beautiful in person!
After we walked around we decided to get a late lunch/early dinner at the Historic Smithville Inn. It was beautiful, from the grounds, to the flowers, it was easy to see why so many weddings are held there every year. We loved the views we had during our meal.
After we ate, we went in a few more stores (including a candy shoppe which had candy that I have not seen since I was kid), a toy store (where we just HAD to buy each one of the girls something), and we finished our time in Historic Smithville with a ride on the train. The train was so cool & took us all around Smithville, it was very beautiful & the perfect way to end our day.
Historic Smithville has events all year round, & we can’t wait to go back & attend some. Have you ever been there? Did you enjoy your time there?
