Why You Should Be Attending the Water Lantern Festival!
I first heard of the Water Lantern Festival, a couple of years ago. I wanted to wait to visit until my kids were a little older & they finally seem ready this year! As my luck would have it, the Water Lantern Festival reached out to me & asked me to visit! I said yes of course! My girls would LOVE this! Doesn’t it remind you so much of the movie, Tangled?
The purpose of the Water Lantern Festival is to bring families & people together, to celebrate LIFE! It tours the country, traveling from state to state, city to city!
People of all ages, all backgrounds, all walks of life, come together! It is so peaceful to watch the lights on the water. It is such a moving statement to have people come together in unity to take part in this! No matter where we came from, our struggles, our paths!
When you purchase an adult ticket for the event, it comes with the following:
- Floating lantern to launch on the water
- Commemorative drawstring bag
- Marker to decorate your lantern
- Wristband for entry into the event
And, before you say anything, lets discuss sustainability! All lanterns are 100% eco-friendly (made from wood and rice paper) and will be completely cleaned up after the event! So no need to worry about that!
