OMG THIS SNOW! After all the false alarms this winter, we finally got some snow! It was a good day to stay in & do tons of work!
Yesterday, my hubby & I got to visit Sojo Spa Club, in Edgewater New Jersey. We have been wanting to come here for a LONG time! I had seen pictures from following their Instagram, or from friends who have went.
Sojo Spa Club did NOT disappoint. It was everything I hoped it would be & more! I want to share how our day went with you & everything we experienced!
*You pay an admission fee to get in (discounted in the winter so GO NOW!!!!), most things are included but there are extras like the volcanic sand bath, salt room, & the spa services!*
When you first check in, you check your shoes into the shoes locker! Sojo is a barefoot facility (the floors are clean!). Then you go up to the 4th floor to the regular lockers. You change into your swimsuit and robe (robes and towels are provided). We decided to start from the top floor and work our way down. We started with the infinity pool overlooking the Manhattan skyline on the 7th floor (the 8th floor has a outdoor garden area when its warmer). The infinity pool is heated, and FANTASTIC!
The infinity pool was my favorite part of Sojo Spa Club. The heated pool, the cold air, the city views, just WOW. So relaxing! We could have stayed there all day but we wanted to check out other stuff too!
Next we went down to sign up for the Japanese Volcanic Sand Bath. We watched the bath being set up & it was so cool. When it was ready, we change into different robes, and lay down in a spot. Your head lays on a wooden block, and you keep your arms by your sides. You are then covered with very warm volcanic sand. You stay like this for about 15 minutes! It is detoxifying to the body & also has anti-inflammatory properties as well! After you come out of the sand, you shower and wash all the sand off!
We ate right after this (the food court is on this floor). There are so many options, juices, smoothies, salads, pizzas, American food & Korean as well!
My hubby & I both got Korean dishes that were DELICIOUS!
We then went down to the spa area. There were these hot stone beds that faced the city, I could have stayed there for hours. It was so warm and relaxing. They also had tons of reclining chairs to just relax. My hubby rotated all the saunas (there are many different saunas!). We went together into the ice room, which was really “cool.”
Next time we visit we plan to do the Korean body scrubs, as well as a massage! I want a reflexology massage for SURE!
We had such an amazing time! Every floor was exciting with so much to do. I felt so relaxed and comfortable. Sojo is the perfect place to visit as a date, with friends, with family (no kids) & just unwind.
I CAN’T WAIT TO GO BACK! Sojo can be enjoyed all year round because of the heated pool. If you can I suggest doing during the week to avoid the weekend crowds! BUT if that is the only time you can go, then GO FOR SURE!
Have you ever visited Sojo Spa Club before?
