Self-Care is SO Important for us Moms! I Am Explaining Why I Took a Short Blog Break, & Why Its Okay To Give Ourselves Time to Enjoy Life Without Feeling Guilty!
It’s been almost a month since my last written blog post. I had one blog post for all of August, none for September so far. And you know what, thats OKAY! I decided to take a few weeks to enjoy every moment with my girls! We had such a beautiful summer, made memories, & had tons of fun. I wanted to let go from my regular posting schedule. What I wanted, was to pay full attention to my babies!
I think we as Mom’s have guilt for so many things all the time just from our day-today as a Mother. Did we play with our kids enough? Tell them we love them enough? Did we yell? Did we give them our full attention? Read them enough books? We put so much pressure on ourselves to be the perfect Mom. We wear so many hats & the juggle is REAL!
I did not want the guilt of work interrupting our summer. So I turned down work, I turned down opportunities. I said NO. And I decided to do what worked best for my family instead. I am very happy with that decision! Work will always be there. A summer with my girls is priceless to me, so I took a break!
Allow yourself to take breaks when you can, enjoy the small moments, enjoy the big moments. It all goes by so fast! You blink and they are sitting up, then crawling, then walking, then running, then talking.
Its okay to say no to things to do other things that make you happy! Without the guilt! And without questioning yourself! Without doubting yourself! Practice self-care! Whatever self-care looks like to you!
With that being said, I plan to get back to my regular posting schedule this week (or next). I have also been battling a horrible cough for 3 weeks now & working to get it resolved!
