Mom Boss Monday Featuring My Fashion Soulmate (& Attitude Soulmate too) Michelle of Stellina’s Styles!
Michelle Spargifiore of Stellina’s Styles is one of my VERY good friends! We met 2.5 years ago about through one of our awesome, very close friends, Melissa! We all did music classes together with the kids, gymnastics, & now we hang out with the kids weekly, girls nights, couples nights etc!
Michelle & I were MEANT to be friends. We both are kind of sassy, very similar fashion styles, both have two girlies close in age, the list goes on! I LOVE spending time with her (& our kids are kind of obsessed with each other)! It is such a nice thing to have such a great friendship that is just FUN!
Melissa & I, along with Michelle, kind of combined all of our friends to make this huge group. NO DRAMA, ALL GOOD TIMES! I am lucky to have each and every one of them! We hang out all the time & it is literally the best!
Michelle decided to start her business when her kids were SMALL! She just moved, had so much going on but the MOM BOSS inside her was just waiting to get out! She makes anything you can think of! I will share her links at the end, and now here is her MOM BOSS interview!
1.Name? Michelle Spargifiore
2.Where are you from? I’m originally a New Yorker at heart and a Staten Island native (Brooklyn born but my family already migrated over the Verrazano by the time I came along). Currently living in the lovely Monmouth County New Jersey since getting married 6 years ago and I ABSOLUTELY love it!
3. What is your business name/info? My business name is Stellina’s Styles, you can find me on FB through the page name Stellina’s Styles or on Instagram: Stellinas_Styles

4. How did you get involved with Stellina’s Styles? I asked my husband for a Cricut Machine a few years back. I was addicted to getting personalized shirts for literally every occasion in our lives, from the big milestones to the small, and that meant matching the ENTIRE family. I’ve always been a very crafty person and decided to get the machine just for personal use but slowly but surely I started making things for friends and family and then my best friend encouraged me to make a business page and the rest is history, or at least I like to think so 😉
5. What are the biggest challenges you face in your business? The biggest challenge in this business would probably be competition. There are a ton of people doing what I do, even in my immediate area, but in the end of the day I really love making beautiful pieces from tumblers, to shirts, to cutting boards, and crafting is my outlet so I take a very laid back approach when it comes to doing this as a business.
6. How do you manage your time effectively? Managing my time effectively? Hmmm nap time and sleep time! My kids are still at a very young age and especially my younger one can be very demanding, so in order to focus I try to keep working to either nap time or once they are off in bed (when I’m not binge watching my favorite new shows amiright?) Luckily I’ve always been a bit of a sleep Nazi with my kids and bed time is early and ALWAYS consistent, so there’s lots of time in the evening to catch up when need be.
7. Tell us about a challenge you faced & overcame! The most challenging thing business wise that I’ve overcome is teaching myself to actually use my machine and the software that comes with it. I was very Microsoft Office friendly and assumed it would be a walk in the park, I mean not to brag but my Powerpoint and Word skills in college were pretty top notch 😉 Seriously, not so much. I remember I fired it up, hooked up all the cables, gave myself a pat on the back for doing all that, and then I had no idea what I was doing! There was a bit of a learning curve and lots of Youtube videos involved, but I got there!
8. Who inspires you & why? My children are my BIGGEST inspiration, heck I named my business after them! Leaving work to be a stay at home mom can sometimes leave you feeling a bit depleted in certain ways so I like having something just for me that’s my little side hustle.
9. What do you do for fun? Fun for me usually includes family outings, Six Flags, Sesame Place, Aquariums, Disney on Ice, you name it- if my girls are having fun then so am I! But when I’m off the clock and tagged in by my mom/mother in law/step-mom, I enjoy heading out for a date night to a comedy show, good food and definitely good drinks! And for a quiet night in I love soaking in our hot tub and feeling like I’m in my very own backyard – private oasis!
10. What makes you a MOM BOSS? Mom Boss? Little Old Me? Well I suppose what makes me a mom boss is just getting it all done! From drop-off to pick-up, play dates, dance, gymnastics, cooking, cleaning, food shopping (hey, we’re all moms you know this list rambles on for 18 pages, FRONT AND BACK!)
