Hey beauties! I want to take a minute to introduce myself & introduce Glitz & GlaMOM. This blog is something I have toyed with doing for over a year & finally decided to take a chance and do it.
My name is Jenna Ricciardi. I am a wifey, & mother of 2. I am a Brooklyn girl who moved to Central NJ at 27 (almost 28). I did not think I would ever adjust to suburban life, but now I love it & know that we are living in the best possible place to raise a family. We are never more than a half hour from the beach, a farm, nice restaurants, & tons of family-friendly things to do. Every weekend there is a festival, event, or something geared towards kids. I am in love with the friends both myself & my children have made. My mom tribe is not only amazing, but necessary to have when you are a mom. To have friends you can share, laugh & cry with. People who support you & your dreams, & always have a shoulder for you to lean on.
Since I have 2 daughters, dressing them is the most fun job in the world. My oldest loves wearing dresses, jewelry, cute shoes, putting on “makeup”, & getting mani-pedis. I wonder where she got this from?! My littlest already loves playing dress up, & all all of the other fun girly stuff (she wants to do whatever big sis does). I love shopping for them & have always gotten so many compliments on their outfits & how I coordinate their looks.
I have always been into shopping, period. I blame my mother 🙂 – we were always shopping when I grew up. Unfortunately I have a taste for things on the higher end of the price spectrum. I like to splurge on high end designer bags, sunglasses & accessories. I like to buy clothing & shoes that are much more budget-friendly. Mixing the high & low ends of the spectrum is something I love to do. Some of my favorite high end designers are Chanel, Celine, Louis Vuitton, YSL, Valentino, & Gucci. For clothing some of my favorite places to shop are ASOS, boohoo, & Amazon. I plan to venture out into other clothing stores as I am starting to have more time to shop as my kids get a little older.
I also love experimenting with different makeup & beauty products. Sephora is a dangerous store for me to go into. Trying different brands & products is so fun, & something I do a lot with my sister.
Travel is also something that my family loves to do. My husband & I traveled a good amount before we had kids. Since having kids we have traveled a lot to Aruba (our home away from home). We also started venturing to Orlando, where Walt Disney World will be our second home for the foreseeable future. We love taking the girls to new places & explore with them.
Glitz & GlaMOM will bring together all these loves of mine into one place. I plan to share all kinds of fashion finds, beauty tips & products, travel, & plenty of parenthood moments for my fellow mamas.
I cannot wait to grow Glitz & GlaMOM into what I have envisioned, & meet great people along the way.
