Sedona, Scottsdale & Phoenix – Read My Review Of Our Family-Fun Filled Trip to Arizona! And Our Wonderful Stay at Club Wyndham Sedona! **Thank you to Club Wyndham Sedona for sponsoring this post**
Over the holiday break we traveled to Arizona for the first time as a family. I have been there twice before, both times to the Grand Canyon. Once to the South Rim with my Dad, and once to the West Rim with my hubby (and we did the skywalk). Both times we went out of Las Vegas for the day. This was our first trip dedicated to Arizona. We started off our trip in Scottsdale, then off to Sedona, and back to Scottsdale/Phoenix for a few days! When I tell you how incredible this trip was, how filled with beauty it was, & how it really was one of the best trips we have taken as a family.
I will share with you the best parts of our trip so you know where to start or the main highlights when planning a visit there yourself!
We started in Scottsdale…
I went to Drybar, Scottsdale location at the beginning & end of our trip. They were so sweet and so fantastic, def a must for getting your hair trip ready! (I knew this wasn’t going to be a pool every day trip so wanted my hair to stay photo ready).
We went to Hash Kitchen in Scottsdale for our first trip meal, the most fantastic and delicious brunch. a MUST visit! They have a fun Bloody Mary bar too that looked really cool!
After this we started our drive to Sedona.
We first stopped at Montezuma Castle National Monument which was SO cool!
When we got to Sedona, we checked in at the Club Wyndham Sedona! Use code: VACAY20 to save 20% on your future stay with Club Wyndham! You may remember that we traveled to Disney and stayed at another Club Wyndham, Wyndham Bonnet Creek, you can read it here! This is our favorite way to travel because of the beautiful properties, the great amenities, & the HUGE HUGE HUGE rooms that make us feel like we are in a huge condo, not a small tight hotel room!
Club Wyndham is a vacation club that allows flexible travel.
Timeshare has evolved to suit the needs of today’s traveler; timeshare does NOT any longer mean visiting the same beach resort, the same week every year, and staying in the exact same room. Wyndham evolved from that type of vacation years ago and continues to evolve, offering a flexible points system that allows you to book stays at 220 Wyndham vacation club resorts. Timeshare owners aren’t buying fixed weeks in one location, but rather points that allow them to travel the world.
Club Wyndham properties are perfect for families, with condo-style accommodations that offer the comforts of home along with resort amenities (like pools & hot tubs, fitness centers, and a 24-hour reception desk), but without sacrificing the need for spacious accommodations like separate bedrooms, living & dining areas and washer and dryers. (better than a regular hotel because it provided all the comforts of home PLUS world class hospitality and customer care.)
Go To: ExtraHolidays.com for 15% off available resorts using the code I mentioned before, VACAY20 … OFFER DETAILS: Book & Travel by December 31, 2020. Mention code VACAY20. Two-night minimum length of stay required. Valid for new reservations only. Reservations are subject to availability. Reservations are not valid over holidays and special events. Cannot be combined with any other offer. All monetary amounts are noted in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise noted.
Here are some photos from Club Wyndham Sedona (the views were INSANE)! SO SO beautiful!
Our room was HUGE, and perfect! It was complete with a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and SO many closets! Oh it also has laundry too! It is really like staying in an enormous condo for less than the price of a regular, small hotel room!
Our first night in Sedona, we went to Tlaquepaque Village – it is filled with beautiful stories & lots of dining options!
The next day we had our PINK JEEP TOUR! This is a must must must must do in Sedona. We did the Broken Arrow, aka the most extreme tour they have. It was so exciting and we got to see the absolute best views that way!
One of our next stops that day was to Red Rock State Park. It was VERY kid friendly. All flat walking and no crazy trails! It was a perfect way to spend the afternoon!
The next day we went to Slide Rock State Park. Another easy to navigate park with the kids! In the summer they even have some fun waters to splash around in!
Another cool place we visited was Out of Africa Wildlife Park! We got to take a Safari tour, have a really awesome private encounter with a White Rhinoceros. They have a ton of wildlife encounters including shows, and opportunities to feed the animals!
The family that owns Out of Africa Wildlife Park are amazing. They are so focused on animal rescue, conversation, and education.
We also while in Sedona visited Jerome, Prescott, & Flagstaff where there are other activities to do! We headed back to Phoenix & Scottsdale to finish out our trip and we packed a week’s work of activities into 2 days!
First we went to the OdySea Aquarium & Butterfly Wonderland. They are both in this amazing plaza filled with TONS of stuff to do with kids from activities to snacks to meals, it was really fun! The aquarium was filled with tons of awesome sea like to look at! The girls loved that each display had a stool for the little kids to step up and see better! Butterfly Wonderland was a really cool experience to hang with butterflies, watch them eat, it was super cool!
That night (our last night) we ate at Buca di Beppo! The food & service is so amazing, a must visit when in the area!
Our last day we visited the Desert Botanical Garden & the Phoenix Zoo! The Desert Botanical Garden was fantastic! There was cactus everywhere but it was so interesting & so much to learn too! It was one of the most fun places we visited! The zoo was really nice too, a great way to end the day.
Sedona was such a beautiful magical place, and we were so glad to extend the trip to include Scottsdale & Phoenix too. They are so different but both filled with so much to do for families! It was a great trip that we will never forget! We fell in love with all the beauty & even though I felt like a city girl gone rouge, I am so glad that we had this experience. Thank you again to all the wonderful hosts we had this trip, & I cannot say enough wonderful things about Club Wyndham Sedona. They truly made our stay incredible!
