One Year Post Microblading, Why I Did Ombre Combo Powder Brows with Microblading For My Eyebrow Touchup! (Also Called Blade & Shade).
It has been over a year since I tried permanent makeup & did my initial Microblading on my eyebrows with Snezhana of Beauty Planet. As you may remember last year, I chose to work with Snezhana after 6 months of research to find the perfect person to do this work with me. Snezhana is amazing because of her talent, work ethic, constant learning, & honesty! She is one of the most talented permanent makeup artists I have ever seen! She knows all the best techniques & methods, & always stays current with courses & trainings!
At the 1 year mark, I decided I wanted a touchup but this time I wanted instead of sole microblading only, to do “blade & shade,” which is using microblading strokes in addition to powder brows (diff tool, diff technique). We also decided to use the ombre style which is lighter in the front and darker towards the end of the eyebrow! Powder brows can last longer, and give you a more “filled in” look. I wanted my brows to be a bit more dramatic than with with microblading alone (which is a more natural look).
This is how my eyebrows were with microblading alone last year:
This was the result after my touchup, doing microblading (a few strokes) with ombre powder brows:
The results are more dramatic, which is exactly what I wanted! I hope to extend my touchup to 18 months to 2 years versus one year but even if I went every year I still think its worth its weight in gold to not fill in my eyebrows daily!
I am so happy with my results! Do you have any questions about permanent makeup? Leave them below!
