Why Curacao Is One of the Best Travel Destinations For Families.
Family travel is my #1 priority for my family. I am always planning our next trip or adventure. It would be no surprise to anyone who knows me that I have a travel Bucket List that I want to complete before my girls graduate high school. One of the destinations we just crossed off our list was Curacao! I knew Curacao was part of the ABC Islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao). These islands are not only absolutely beautiful, but are known for being below the hurricane belt. You can travel there all year round & the weather will be beautiful. That makes it the perfect destination to visit, no matter what time of year.
In Curacao, we stayed at the Mangrove Beach Corendon, a Curio brand under Hilton. The Mangrove Beach Corendon is an all-inclusive resort. We had an amazing stay, it was so picturesque & beautiful. There were many pools to splash around in, we checked them ALL out of course. There were lots of dining options too, including a BBQ Restaurant, Seafood, Italian, Sushi, a beach-shack type place for lunch/snacks & of course the buffet. We checked out all of the restaurants during our stay & each was really delicious.
There was also a cigar lounge, multiple bars & places to get coffee/gelato.
One MAJOR thing we loved at Mangrove Beach Corendon was that it has its own WATERPARK. There is a splash area, & really fun slides. You do not even have to leave the resort to have serious fun. There were playgrounds also that the girls really enjoyed. The resort also has a spa right at the beach, imagine enjoying a beach-side massage in paradise, just amazing!
While in Curacao, we made sure to take time to explore the beautiful island as well. We took a TukTuk Tour thanks to CurTukTuk. Tuktuk’s are these small vehicles that are perfect for sightseeing. We had 2 cars, so I took one of the girls & my hubby took the other. We had the MOST amazing tour guides., They took us all over the island, showing us lots of sights & gave us so much history too. We got to learn about all the bridges in Curacao too, the purpose they serve & honestly how cool they are. The Queen Emma bridge is a floating bridge. We got to watch it open and close during our visit , it was really really incredible. Not to mention that the bridge is in downtown Curacao, famous for its beautiful buildings (which we also learned the history of).
Curacao is rich with beauty, culture & we had the most wonderful time. Between the beautiful resort & exploring the beauty of Curacao itself, we made so many amazing memories. We are planning to visit again as soon as we can. Curacao would be PERFECT for a family trip, honeymoon, & even a last-minute getaway.
Thank you to the Curacao Tourism Board & Mangrove Beach Corendon for sponsoring our trip.
